Vagina smells like penis after inercourse. Infection?

Asked by roxyneedshelp (Female; 24 ) on Mon 05, Apr 2010 06:51am

This is kind of awkward, but my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex because condoms give me infections. We are in a long term relationship. My boyfriend complains that intercourse is sometimes painful when we don't use condoms, and the last time we had sex he started bleeding inside me. Since then I've noticed a strong odor from my vagina, and it smells like his penis just stronger. I've taken many baths since then and I don't think it's a yeast infection because there isn't really a discharge, just the weird smell. I believe it was caused by my boyfriend because I had unprotected sex with my ex and this never happened before. My boyfriend is uncircumcised.

Hi, It would be best to consult your doctor for a clinical examination. Till then, apply calamine lotion to help soothe the irritation, wear loose comfortable clothes, avoid sweat accumulation, wash the area frequently, avoid harsh soaps and also avoid sweat accumulation. You can treat it at home with over-the-counter vaginal creams such as miconazole or clotrimazole. But it would be best to consult your OBG specialist first. For more information you could read - http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/women/reproductive/vaginal/206.html and http://www.womenshealth.gov/FAQ/vaginal-yeast-infections.cfm Regards.
