my daughters left eyes eye ball is not moving towards the left side. She is 19months old.

My daughters left eyes eye ball is not moving towards the left side. Tears also come from the same eye. earlier tears used to come every 2-3 hours, but now it is redused to 2-3 times in a day. She is 19 months old.

Hi Arun, if she cannot turn her left eye outwards mean lack of abduction which is executed by lateral rectus innervated by 6th cranial nerve- Abducens nerve. It occurs with corneal scars, cataracts, severe ptosis, and longstanding vitreous hemorrhage. This can happen when there is a space occupying lesion like retinoblastoma pressing over 6th nerve. This can be ruled out by getting a CT/MRI of skull. I would suggest you to consult an Ophthalmologist if necessary neurologist and get detailed evaluation to rule out the cause.
