I fell hard on my right wrist about six weeks ago. I am in great pain. I
cannot put any pressure on the right wrist (when I fell I landed on the right
palm of my hand). I cannot push the hand too far back or too far down without
great pain. I have limited use of the hand. I can lift light items yet favor
it greatly. Please help me. I kept thinking it would get better but it has
not. I am a 47 year old healthy female.
Hi there, This sounds like any hair-line fracture or ligament/tendon stretch leading to pain and inflammation
(swelling/redness). You immediately require a wrist radiograph (X-Ray) with the help of an orthopedic to rule
out the condition. In any of the condition you would require pain killers and restricted movements of wrist
for about next one month. I hope this helps.
