Answer by Dr Veena, MD  on Sun 14, Jun 2009 03:43am:

Swelling of fore arm could be due to thrombophlebitis, hematoma, cellulitis or trauma to the bones. Is there any warmth, fever, redness or bluish colored skin over the fore arm? Hot compresses and elevation of arm can help in decreasing the swelling in the fore arm. It would be better to visit a physician for examination and confirmation of the cause. Take care.
