Pimple scar on nose

Hello, I had a pimple on my nose about 5 weeks ago, and after doing some research online, I thought that putting toothpaste on it would make it heal rapidly. But after I did so, I felt that it started to burn, so I washed it off immediately and applied some antiseptic cream. That area was swollen for the rest of that day, but a scab formed the next morning, and started to get better afterwards. However, after the scab fell off naturally after about a week, there was a big red scar on the area. I've had similar scars before, but they only stayed for about a week. This one did not go away at all, and only got very slightly lighter after 3 weeks. During this time, the skin shed several times, but the new skin was exactly the same colour. Last week, I followed some advice and used sandpaper to remove the thin layer of skin, formed a scab, and when the scab fell off, it was the same colour again. Can you please tell me how to get rid of this scar ASAP? And how long does it take?

Hi, Hydroquinone usually reduces or removes hyperpigmentations very effectively. It is a bleaching agent. Also always use sunscreen as dark areas on exposure to sunlight turn darker still. Wearing sunscreen and avoiding the use of abrasive cleansers and cosmetics for the face may help. Get enough sleep and eat a balanced diet everyday. It would be advisable to consult a skin specialist for her symptoms and a proper clinical examination. Regards.
