Morphine Resistance

First of all I am not an addict to any drugs I am not habutiated to any opiod drugs. I have asked this question before and it was not understood as the "Doctor" thought that I was adddiced to or abused opiod painkillers. I have had several surgeries in the past few years and each time in recovery I have woken up in severe pain. Eash time I was given multiple doses of Morphine and gotten absolutely no pain relief. The last time I had a surgery I was given two injections of Morphine, two injections of Dilaudid, two injections of Demerol. I don't know what the dosages were I am assuming not much (or I would have been dead). I finally begged for 800mg tablet of Ibuprofen which ultimately took care of my pain. Everyone was in disbelief (doctors, nurses and my family). I read somewhere some people are just resistant to Morphine and their bodies can't process it. I am getting ready to have gastric bypass surgery and the doctor says he has never heard of those drugs not working on someone. Is there a test that can be given to see if this is my problem? I also wonder if my weight has anything to do with it. I weigh 300 pounds and this is why I need the gastric bypass surgery. I have dieted for 30 years with few results. I hope you can help me. Thanks so much!
