I have been having cramps, headaches, breast tenderness, bloating, tiredness, nausea, and when I smell or eat certain things, I have to run to the bathroom. My husband and I had unprotected sex for about 2 weeks trying to get pregnant . On friday, I started what I thought was my period for 2 days. The only problem was that it was 2 weeks early and only barely lasted two days while my normal period lasts for about 5-6 days.. I took a pregnancy test earlier this morning when I woke up but since it probably hasn't been long enough, it was negative. how early can I take a blood yet and have it be accurate? And how long should I wait before I take another home pregnancy test? Thank you for your help

Hi and hope your issues have been resolved by now. The bleeding could have been implantation bleeding, which occurs when the fertilized ovum gets implanted in the uterus. Have a pregnancy test done after your expected day of menstruation. But have to be cautious as it is too early for you to be experiencing symptoms related to pregnancy. Your symptoms of breast tenderness, tiredness, nausea and headaches could all be due to premenstrual hormonal changes. If you continue to have these symptoms I would advise you to consult your primary care physician for a proper evaluation and therapy. Warm regards.
