Hi there! Welcome to the forum. A feeling of fullness in the groin is often caused by hernias, growths/
masses, fluid collection, foreign bodies, infections, inflammations etc. Well, since a scan has been normal
and there has been no abnormality detected, hernias, growths/ masses, fluid collection and unsuccessful
laparoscopic repair are ruled out as causes. Likely possibilities in such a situation are probably a low grade
inflammation, scar formation or a feeling referred from other regions; the later is not of much significance.
Well, these are just likely possibilities that are assumed with normal tests and may not turn out to be true.
However, since there are no other symptoms or abnormal physical findings, I would not suggest active
management at this stage. You may however opt for exercises that strengthen the muscles of the lower abdomen,
under a professional trainer. One must however be careful not to put sudden or excessive stress in the region
post-a repair procedure and exercises should be carried on a low-moderate grade continuous basis. Hope this
turns out to be helpful. Please feel free to post any further queries that you may have and do keep us posted.
Take care!
