I continually have pressure in my pelvis area, mainly in between my legs and vaginal area. It feels as if my uterus is falling out. Or best way to describe is cramping and pressure as when having a mensus. What could be the cause of this problem? Answer by Dr Eesha Rao  on Sat 19, Jun 2010 06:42am:

Hi, the cramps in the lower abdomen or vaginal area could arise from involuntary contractions of smooth muscles of bladder, pelvic floor muscle, rectum, uterus, ureter ( tubes that transmit urine from kidney to bladder). Crampy pain in the lower abdomen radiating to lower legs could be a chronic pelvic pain. A wide variety of condition can cause the symptoms that you have described. It is not possible to make a diagnosis with out proper clinical examination by a OBG specialist and specific laboratory investigation, ultrasonography and other imaging techniques. Pain that is progressing should be taken seriously . I suggest you to consult an OBG specialist ASAP and take his advice. Take care
