Answer by Dr Vinod, MBBS,FcGP   on Thu 01, Jul 2010 01:38pm:

Hello stirling62, Majority of the testes descend by 3 months of age in many children. 80% of cryptorchid testes descend by the first year of life and if it does not then it gives rise to a condition called cryptorchidism. With respect to your grandson he is having absolutely normal developmental milestones, and if you have any doubts follow up with a pediatrician. Take care!
