I was given Duphaston because i did not get my periods from past 2 months that is after i had a very early abortion. The reason given for early abortion was presence of poly cysts.(not confirmed)

Hello. Duphaston is a progesterone hormone. A progesterone supplement is given for 5 to 10 days in high doses, then sudden stoppage of this hormone causes withdrawal bleeding if one is not pregnant. The bleeding starts within 48 to 72 hours of stoppage of the medicine. You can continue it for 5 more days but in the same dosage to delay your periods by another 5 days. Hope this helps.
